NEW YORK, NY - The Hunter College wrestling team hosted the Mariners of USMMA last night in a dual match-up. The Hawks dominated 7 out of the 10 weight classes, beating out the Mariners 28-12. With the win, Hunter improves to 2-0 while the Mariners drop to 0-1.

Jaydon Rice got things started for the Hawks in the 125 weight class, having a major decision of Costas Rerras 16-6. Sophomore
Kenneth Albert had a technical fall agianst the Mariner's Thomas Healey in the 133 weight class, 22-6. Senior
Chris Gogatz had a 14-1 major decision over his opponent at 141 while senior
Brady Kwong had a 3-2 decision at 149.

Musa DeReese had a 2-1 decision over Sam Fry at 184 while junior
Leon Bodden had a 3-1 decision at 285 in overtime.
The Hawks are back on the mats on January 5th, when they compete at the NYU Quad Match.
