Women’s Tennis Edged By Geneseo, 9-0

The Hawks were defeated 9-0 by the Geneseo women's tennis team on Sunday, April 21st at the U.S. Tennis Association National Tennis Center in a match-up of teams headed to the NCAA playoffs in May.
 
Geneseo dominated Hunter in both doubles and singles play cruising to a 9-0 victory. Jane Selegean and Shena Joseph fell at No. 1 doubles 8-2, while Stephanie Ahwireng and Angelina Usherenko suffered an 8-1 loss competing at No. 2 doubles, and Caroline Kaleda and Beth Chapnick were shutout 8-0 at No. 3 doubles. Hunter's Jane Selegean falls to a 6-3 overall record at No. 1 singles after battling her opponent to a 7-5, 6-3 defeat.
 
The Hawks will travel to play the New Paltz women's tennis team on April 27th wrapping up their season before beginning their run at the 2013 NCAA playoffs.
