New York, N.Y. - Hunter College women's cross country first-year head coach
Daryn Johnson has been named the 2018 CUNYAC Coach of the Year, while five runners earned CUNYAC All-Star status.
Johnson led the Hawks to their fifth-straight conference championship two weekends ago as five Hawks finished in the top-15.
Julia Leask led the way for the Hawks, placing second overall and posting a time of 25:38.1 for a spot on the list.
She was followed by
Bianca Rey in fourth (26:08.2) and
Zoe Colasacco in fifth-place (27:31.3).
Kristy Carlin recorded a time of 27:38.2 to take sixth-place overall in the race.
Francesca Royal rounded out the conference All-Stars, placing 12th with a time of 28:37.4
Rey also earned a spot on the Sportsmanship Team to represent the Purple and Gold.
The team returns to action on Saturday, November 10 when they compete at the NCAA Regional race.
