Kings Park, NY – The women's cross country team competed at the St. Joseph's Invitational held at the challenging Sunken Meadow State Park course earlier this morning. With two top-50 performances, the Hawks managed a ninth place showing on the day. For the second week in a row, the Purple and Gold were the top team among CUNYAC schools.
Annabel Gregg was once again the Hawk's top runner. She traversed the 5,000 meter course in a time of 21:25 to earn a 13
th place finish; less than two seconds shy of a top-10 spot.
Marissa Cronin was Hunter's second scorer as she stopped the clock in 25:33 for 58
th overall. Behind her was
Lauren Hakimi in 64
th thanks to an effort of 26:19.
Rounding out the scoring five contingent was
Jenni Sarabia and
Helen Dai. The duo finished back to back with Sarabia in 88
th with a time of 28:44 and Dai one spot and seven seconds behind.
The Hawks return to action on Sunday, October 31 when they compete in the CUNYAC Championships held at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx.
