Women's Cross Country finishes in 12th in a short course warm up for the championships

Bethpage, NY- The Hunter College women's cross country team finished 12th out of 19 teams in a last minute tuneup before the conference championships.  The upcoming championships are hosted at Van Cortland Park on Sunday October 30th and both the Men and the Women are the defending champions.

Senior Taylor McClay finished the 5k course first for Hunter in 32nd place with a time of 21.30. Samantha Suriel followed with her own time of 23.29, and Elizatte Lakouetene (27:06), Irving Jiang (29:23) and Karina Tan (29:54) all placed in Hunter's top 5 to round out the scoring.  Also finishing for Hunter was Mehnoor Yousaf (34:53), that allowed all of Hunter's six runners to complete the race.
