Bronx, N.Y.- For the eighth season in a row, the the Hunter College women's cross-country team won the City University of New York Athletic Conference Championships as they took the 2022 title on Sunday morning at Van Cortlandt park.
The Hawks turned in another strong performance at the championship meet, as the team's top five runners finished among the top-20 overall, including three in the top-10, to lead Hunter to its league-best 19th championship in program history.
Taylor McClay was Hunter's top finisher, placing third overall with a time of 27:05. Samantha Suriel finished top spots behind McClay in 30:13, while Wendy Montiel finished eighth with a time of 30:40.
Overall, Hunter finished with a team score of 46, a 12-point margin from the second-place team, CCNY.
