Patchogue, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's cross country team raced at the St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday. Despite resting some of the Hawks' key runners for the upcoming conference championships the Purple and Gold posted impressive individual performances.
Mateo Penafiel led the Hawks' runners, with a time of 33:10 in 42nd overall. He was followed by
Angel Martinez not far behind, clocking in at 34:54 in the men's 8k race.
Paul Patino rounded out finishers for Hunter, as the rookie crossed the tape at 36:06.
Hunter continues its season on Oct. 27 at the CUNYAC Championships where they search for their sixth straight conference title.
