NEW YORK, N.Y.- In front of a home crowd at the Hunter Sportsplex, the fourth-seeded Hunter College women's volleyball team rallied past fifth-seeded CCNY in four sets (24–26, 25–19, 25–16, 26–24) on Tuesday evening to advance to the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Championship Semifinals. The Hawks bounced back after dropping the opening frame, piecing together a dominant second and third set before surviving a tight fourth to clinch the match and set up a semifinal showdown against top-seeded John Jay on Thursday at 6 p.m. Senior Amina Moummad led all players with 17 kills and added six service aces, 15 digs, and four block assists for a match-high 25 points. Fellow senior Lily Mattison added 12 kills and two block assists, while freshman Michelle Liu contributed six kills on a .235 hitting percentage along with two aces and two blocks. Madeline Snyder dished out 36 assists, chipped in with two service aces and 11 digs, and directed the attack with precision. Kassidy Cruz Nuesi tallied eight kills and Ana Duran added five points on the night, while Natalie Morrill and Natalie Polanco anchored the defense with 11 and 17 digs, respectively. Morrill also contributed two aces from the service line. Hunter out-blocked CCNY 17-10 and registered 12 aces to the Beavers' nine, making the most of their opportunities in tight moments. The final set featured 11 tie scores and four lead changes, with the Hawks fending off a late surge to take the clinching set 26–24.
